Iago expresses his offense to Roderigo as to why he didnt go away Othellos lieutenant, because he thinks that he is better qualified than Cassio who had already been elect as Othellos lieutenant. As a result, this drives Iago sick and grasping of Cassio. Also, Iago feels inferior to Othello since Othello loves Desdemona, because Iago is white and Othello is black.
